For my recent Master’s thesis, I designed an educational video game in collaboration with NOAA and UW scientists to illustrate their ongoing research on the ecological impact of jellyfish in Puget Sound. By communicating their ecological impact, place, and presence in the food web, the public can develop an appreciation for the species with help from aquariums. The purpose of this project is to provide aquariums with a variety of tools to communicate the role of jellyfish in food webs in order to provide the public with a more holistic understanding of Puget Sound ecology.
