Puget Sound Aquarium
These interpretive signs are the first to feature Lushootseed, the original language of Puget Sound, for all its signage. Special thanks to The Tulalip Tribes Lushootseed Department for creating the names and providing translations for over 50 animals. Photos by Bri Gabel, with an Olympus TG4.

These signs accompany the 42′ gray whale skeleton and explain his journey from Puget Sound to the museum. The skeleton is meant to appear as it was recently shipped and is being put together at the museum.

Woodlands Adventure Birdwatching
Twelve birds were chosen by local birders to be featured in the birdwatching exhibit. Each sign includes a photo and essential biological information with icons for preliterate or non-English visitors. Thank you to The Tulalip Tribes Lushootseed Department for providing the Lushootseed translations for these birds.
