Recently, a Staghorn Sculpin died at the MaST due to liver failure. What tipped us off that he might be sick was lethargy and labored breathing. A quick gill exam revealed he was highly anemic. A small biopsy was taken and looked at under a microscope. We found monogeneans and trichodina! This video shows the trichodina scooting around on the monogenean!
